Interblocks changes its name to Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions

Colombo, January 09, 2020 — Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions, Corp. (“Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions”), today announced that it has changed its corporate name from Interblocks Limited (“Interblocks”) to Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions Limited (“Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions”).

The unique knowledge and capabilities we each bring to the table will enable us to achieve this vision and continue to provide market leading technology in this rapidly evolving space. Also, the name change is a reflection of Interblocks’ operations reaching greater heights to provide our customers with better quality services and solutions as Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions.” said Dinesh Rodrigo, Managing Director, Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions.

Based on the know-how and core technologies gained from cash recycling ATMs, Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions will establish an integrated payment infrastructure with Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions’ software and solutions and the services of Hitachi Payment Services. We are happy the stakeholders of Interblocks are connected to our established brand name after its corporate name change.” said Tetsuya Yagi, Representative Director and President, Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions. 

Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions will provide payment service infrastructure by making use of the excellent software suites and product development capabilities that Hitachi Digital Payment Solutions owns. Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions will accelerate the development of solutions that accommodate cash and non-cash transaction channels such as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), bank counters, mobile banking or smartphone-based payment for the global market including India and Southeast Asia.
