Masayuki Eguchi, head of Mitsubishi Heavy’s defense and space business, stated last month that two recent H-IIA launches that went off without a hitch have raised hopes for the H3’s second attempt. H-IIA has flown 47 of 48 times since 2001, but JAXA plans to retire it after two more shots.
